Construction Manager – Shopping Mall Projects

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee mall and commercial development construction, coordinating civil, structural, architectural, MEP, façade, and finishing works.
• Set schedules, execution strategies, resource plans, and site logistics; supervise site teams and subcontractors.
• Coordinate consultants, clients, project managers, and authorities; resolve technical and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, contracts, UAE regulations, HSE standards, and quality procedures.
• Monitor progress and delays; manage workforce, materials, equipment, productivity, and subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate building services and interfaces across retail, common, atrium, food court, parking, and back-of-house areas.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover; report progress and support cost control, variations, risk mitigation, and value engineering.

Requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10–15 years of construction experience, including substantial mall or large-scale commercial project experience; successful mall delivery is essential.
• At least 5 years in a senior site management or construction management position.
• Technical knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, MEP coordination, and high-quality finishing works.
• Experience managing large teams, subcontractors, complex interfaces, and coordination with consultants, developers, and authorities.
• Knowledge of planning, sequencing, scheduling, resource management, construction methods, contracts, documentation, and site management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6 or MS Project, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations, authority approvals, quality standards, and HSE requirements; UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication; ability to manage pressure and competing priorities and deliver within timelines and budgets.
• Main-contractor experience on major mall developments is an advantage.

Pay

• Pay is stated as AED 7,000–27,000 per month.
