Job purpose
Manage, supervise, and ensure successful delivery of civil works for 380 kV HV/MV substation projects.
Work in compliance with SEC standards, contract requirements, and safety and quality guidelines.
Civil project delivery
- Supervise foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, equipment foundations, roads, and fencing.
- Review civil designs, drawings, and shop drawings and coordinate approvals.
- Plan and schedule construction activities to meet project timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate with SEC representatives, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Inspect materials and workmanship and ensure QA/QC requirements are met.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards at the project site.
- Maintain progress reports, inspection requests, and material approvals.
- Help resolve technical issues, variations, and claims related to civil works.
- Support project progress meetings and report civil work status and challenges.
- Complete and hand over civil works in time for electrical installation and substation commissioning.

- Knowledge of substation civil construction practices.
- Quality and safety management.
- Stakeholder management with SEC, consultants, and contractors.
- Planning, scheduling, and execution skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and challenging environment.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience in EPC substation projects within Saudi Arabia is preferred.
- Exposure to SEC, National Grid SA, or major utility projects is advantageous.
- A strong track record delivering substation civil works safely, within budget, and on schedule is preferred.
- Immediate availability with SEC approval or a transferable iqama is advantageous.
