Manage, supervise, and ensure successful execution of civil works in 380 kV HV/MV substation projects.
Work must comply with Saudi Electricity Company standards, contract requirements, safety rules, and quality guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise, monitor, and control site civil construction, including foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, equipment foundations, roads, and fencing.
- Ensure work complies with SEC standards, drawings, and specifications.
- Review civil designs, drawings, and shop drawings and coordinate approvals with engineering consultants and contractors.
- Coordinate with SEC representatives, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to maintain progress.
- Plan and schedule civil construction activities to meet project timelines and milestones.
- Monitor materials and workmanship, conduct inspections, and ensure project QA/QC requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at the project site.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, inspection requests, and material approvals.
- Help resolve technical issues, variations, and claims related to civil works.
- Support the Project Manager in progress meetings and report civil work status and challenges.
- Complete and hand over civil works in time for electrical equipment installation and substation commissioning.
Candidate profile
- Knowledge of substation civil construction practices.
- Experience in EPC substation projects within Saudi Arabia is preferred.
- Exposure to SEC, National Grid SA, or major utility projects is preferred.
- A strong record delivering substation civil works safely, within budget, and on schedule is preferred.
- Immediate availability with SEC approval or transferable iqama is an added advantage.
