Role purpose

Lead strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, and supplier performance for outsourced services.

Build client relationships, lead commercial negotiations, identify service growth opportunities, and deliver value, profitable growth, and reliable service while managing contractual risk.

Procurement and tender management

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing strategies and oversee RFQs, RFPs, tender documentation, supplier clarifications, due diligence, and tender evaluations.
  • Evaluate cost, service quality, delivery capability, and risk; negotiate supplier pricing, payment terms, service levels, and risk allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and delegated authority; use market intelligence and supplier benchmarking.

Contract management

  • Lead service contract and Statement of Work development with Legal and Operations; maintain registers, renewal schedules, and supplier documentation.
  • Monitor milestones, deliverables, expiry dates, and obligations; negotiate amendments, extensions, and renewals within approved authority.
  • Ensure contracts define scope, SLAs, KPIs, pricing, change control, and exit terms; maintain accurate records and monitor supplier compliance.

Supplier and commercial management

  • Own strategic supplier relationships and maintain suitable alternative providers; monitor performance against KPIs and SLAs.
  • Lead supplier reviews, agree improvement actions, resolve escalated issues, disputes, and service failures, and pursue sustainable savings without reducing agreed quality.
  • Oversee invoice validation against contracted rates and accepted deliverables; develop supplier improvement plans when performance falls below agreed KPIs.

Performance and governance

  • Develop supplier scorecards and report validated savings, contract performance, and commercial growth contributions.
  • Prepare dashboards covering spend, risk, renewals, and opportunities; enforce governance, ethical sourcing, and conflict-of-interest controls.
  • Lead procurement audit responses and corrective actions; manage commercial risks and escalate commitments outside delegated authority.

Client relationships and team leadership

  • Lead client meetings, understand needs, resolve issues, build trust, and present proposals and value cases to senior decision-makers.
  • Identify and qualify upselling and cross-selling opportunities; negotiate client pricing, renewals, and scope changes within approved limits.
  • Confirm delivery capacity and margins before commitments, document handovers, and maintain the opportunity pipeline to support conversion and retention.
  • Coordinate Finance approvals, budgets, purchase orders, and Legal reviews; set team priorities, delegate work, and coach procurement staff.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • CIPS/MCIPS or an equivalent recognized procurement credential is preferred.
  • 7–10 years of relevant procurement, sourcing, or contract management experience, including at least 3 years leading teams or complex commercial portfolios.
  • Client-facing outsourced or professional services experience with evidence of negotiations, renewals, and upselling/cross-selling is required.
  • International client and supplier experience is preferred; UAE/GCC market experience is advantageous.

Knowledge and skills

  • Confident client engagement, executive presentations, relationship management, consultative selling, and service opportunity development.
  • Strong written and spoken business English for proposals and commercial negotiations.
  • Commercial judgment in pricing, margins, total cost, and contract risk allocation; strong analytical, leadership, stakeholder, and ethical judgment.
  • Strategic sourcing, tender evaluation, contract management, and supplier SLA/KPI management.
  • Proficiency with procurement ERP systems such as Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle, and reporting tools.
