Procurement Engineer

Role Profile

Key Responsibilities

• Handle procurement for construction, MEP, Oil & Gas, mechanical, piping, industrial, and related materials.
• Review purchase requests, specifications, BOQs, and customer requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations based on price, quality, delivery, technical compliance, and commercial terms.
• Prepare quotation comparisons and recommendations for management.
• Negotiate supplier prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Project, Warehouse, and Logistics teams for timely supply and delivery.
• Verify product specifications and compliance with customer and project requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships, alternative sourcing, cost-saving opportunities, and supplier performance.
• Follow up on purchase orders, production, shipments, and deliveries.
• Handle supplier portals, registrations, RFQs, procurement enquiries, and procurement documentation.
• Maintain accurate supplier, quotation, and purchase order records.
• Support procurement process improvement, cost reduction, and timely supply.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of UAE procurement experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas, MEP, mechanical, piping, industrial, construction, and related materials.
• Experience sourcing from local and international suppliers and manufacturers.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and material requirements.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, quotation comparison, and commercial negotiation.
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures and supply chain processes.
• Supplier or vendor portal and registration experience is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple enquiries and purchase requirements.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• English and Hindi communication skills are required; Arabic is an added advantage.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 3,000 to AED 5,000 per month.
