The picker consolidates ecommerce orders by selecting items from putaway and selling areas, checking expiry dates, and scanning items.
The role is accountable for order completeness and accuracy and for picking productively according to company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Pick and scan items individually and perform quality checks.
- Ensure picked goods comply with the expiry-date policy and confirm out-of-stock items with the section in charge.
- Provide feedback about incorrect picks or items that do not meet quality standards.
- Keep the putaway area organized and move unused trolleys and crates to storage.
- Report anomalies, including incorrect product images or locations and picking-system issues.
- Ensure putaway locations and crates have scannable barcodes, and keep goods in proper areas and in good condition.
Background and qualifications
- High school education or diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience; ecommerce operations experience is preferred.
- Online retail business experience is a plus.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills and good understanding of quality control checks.
- Understanding of retail products and ability to work under pressure.
