The Baker prepares bread and other baked goods in at least one area of the Bakery section.
The role includes customer service and carrying out bakery tasks in line with operating standards and hygiene procedures.
Baking and display
- Transform ingredients into finished and semi-finished bread and baked products according to production sheets and bakery procedures.
- Prepare products and place them in display counters according to defined guidelines.
Customer service
- Assist customers with product inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Promote additional sales and stay aware of promotions and advertisements.
Standards and hygiene
- Follow health, sanitation, and safe-work procedures.
- Operate and sanitize equipment safely and properly.
- Keep work areas, freezers, and chillers clean and dispose of food waste correctly.
Requirements
- Basic English reading, writing, and interpretation skills are required.
- The posting specifies 2–3 years in a similar role and at least 2 years in the bakery area.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
