The Payment Sales Analyst supports transactional revenue through collaboration with sales representatives, payment analysis, project scoping, proposals, and client-facing negotiations.
The role combines payment analytics and commercial judgment, and reports to the Manager, Payments Pricing.
Responsibilities
- Support sales attainment goals for transactional revenue products in a quota-carrying role.
- Maintain knowledge of Tyler Payments, Payments Enterprise Portal, Cashiering, and other Payments initiatives.
- Analyze transaction costs and economics to determine effective rates and client proposals.
- Monitor market pricing, competitor models, and changes in the government payments ecosystem.
- Attend sprint reviews, support calls, and implementation calls to understand strategy and roadmap items.
- Clarify client needs before quotes and work with sales teams to develop accurate proposals.
- Advise on payment functionality, project scoping, pricing, industry standards, and client payment needs.
- Support Payments opportunities across Tyler in an assigned market and team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in payments, fintech, financial services, pricing, commercial strategy, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of payment processing economics and merchant pricing models.
- Experience developing pricing strategies, financial models, or commercial recommendations.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including work with complex datasets.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency; SQL, BI tools, or analytics platforms are a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Degree in finance, economics, analytics, or a related field.
