Qualifications and experience
- Graduate or Diploma/ITI in any discipline from a recognized university or board.
- At least 3 years of experience handling materials for major oil companies offshore.
- At least 5 years of experience in well services activities, including rig activities.
- The candidate is required to be a certified rigger with a valid rigging and slinging certificate.
- H2S, HUET, and T-BOSIET certificates may be valid or expired.
Technical knowledge
- Know how to check loads for dropped objects and verify load balance and security.
- Know different sling types and identification markings and how to use appropriate lifting accessories.
Duties
- Perform general well services work at offshore locations, including barges, lift boats, and vessels; maintain Qatar Energy equipment.
- Support well services companies during rig-up, rig-down, and operations as directed.
- Load and unload offshore equipment, cargo containers, supply vessels, and work boats; arrange equipment in the correct locations.
- Rig and sling equipment, maintain housekeeping, and prepare equipment before demobilization.
- Report to Qatar Energy representatives and follow QatarEnergy policies and safe practices.
- Assist with removal of well-head flanges, flowlines, and spools and rig-up of SLB WTS.
- Assist with equipment deployment to and from well-head jackets, rig-up of NIMR and HWL BOPs and risers, and valve operations as a buddy to WHM technicians.
- Support GMS teams with loading and offloading supply vessels and work boats.
Work location
- Work is at offshore locations on a rotational basis.
- Work location is in person.
