Role overview

Technical delivery and coordination

• Lead MEP work covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and ELV systems.
• Review and coordinate design and shop drawings, specifications, BOQs, and construction documents.
• Manage technical and material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical queries.
• Coordinate consultants, clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Resolve design discrepancies and technical conflicts with architectural, structural, and civil teams.
• Ensure design and installation compliance with UAE regulations, international standards, and project requirements.

Approvals, construction, and handover

• Coordinate applicable authority approvals and inspections with DEWA, Dubai Municipality, and Dubai Civil Defence.
• Support site teams and resolve engineering issues that may affect project progress.
• Review technical proposals, equipment selections, and alternatives to improve cost efficiency and project performance.
• Monitor submissions, drawing approvals, and engineering deliverables against deadlines.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, system integration, and handover.
• Ensure as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and close-out documents are prepared and submitted.
• Guide MEP engineers and technical staff; coordinate with project management, procurement, planning, and QA/QC teams.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of UAE construction industry experience with strong MEP engineering and technical coordination exposure.
• Previous MEP Technical Manager, Senior MEP Engineer, or similar technical leadership experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and ELV systems.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings, technical and material submittals, method statements, and RFIs.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction regulations, authority approvals, and relevant international standards.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Tools and additional experience

• AutoCAD proficiency is required; Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM coordination knowledge are advantages.
• Strong technical problem-solving, communication, coordination, and leadership skills; able to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
• Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments is an advantage.
