Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead MEP work from project initiation through completion and handover; plan and monitor building-services activities.
• Ensure work meets approved designs, specifications, schedules, quality standards, and budget; review drawings, submittals, method statements, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and internal teams; monitor progress and contractual compliance.
• Resolve technical issues and design conflicts; conduct site inspections and progress meetings.
• Coordinate authority approvals, inspections, testing, and commissioning; monitor costs, variations, procurement, and resources.
• Review contractor payment applications, variations, and claims; oversee snagging and handover.
• Prepare progress and technical reports and project documentation; ensure HSE and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of MEP project management experience in the UAE.
• Experience managing MEP work on residential, commercial, mixed-use, or real estate development projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and other building MEP systems.
• Experience managing MEP contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers; knowledge of UAE construction practices and authority approvals.
• Understanding of planning, scheduling, cost control, quality, HSE, testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple activities and stakeholders.
• MS Office, AutoCAD, and project planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project are preferred.
