Join the engineering team as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and components for construction projects in line with standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
- Use CAD and BIM software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks, to prepare layouts and 3D models.
- Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural and structural layouts.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to verify design viability and performance.
- Review and revise designs based on project requirements, codes, and client feedback.
- Ensure designs comply with local regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to support project execution.
- Visit sites to monitor installation and resolve design-related issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of mechanical design engineering experience; construction-industry experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
- Analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and task-management skills.
- Previous experience with a consultant.
