Role overview

EPAM is seeking a Lead UX Designer to shape enterprise agentic experiences.

The role covers conversational workflows, multi-step task orchestration, contextual interventions, and trust-calibration patterns.

The designer will help define how developers and knowledge workers collaborate with AI agents.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end experience design for enterprise agentic interfaces.
  • Create trust-calibration patterns for delegating to, collaborating with, and supervising AI agents.
  • Architect intent communication, ambiguity handling, repair, fallback, and coherence across multi-agent interactions.
  • Maintain a clear user mental model of responsibility during complex agent interactions.
  • Translate ambiguous problem spaces into coherent, testable experience frameworks.
  • Shape the agentic experience framework, design system, interaction patterns, and heuristics.
  • Deliver production-ready designs and define standards for agentic experience behavior.
  • Create functional prototypes with vibe coding and generative AI.
  • Use LLM-assisted workflows for research synthesis and specification writing.
  • Explain design rationale to engineering and product partners.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of UX design experience with a strong portfolio of complex, multi-state interaction design.
  • Expert knowledge of conversational design, dialogue scripting, ambiguity handling, and multi-turn coherence.
  • Experience with enterprise agentic interfaces, multi-step task orchestration, and trust-calibration patterns.
  • Hands-on proficiency with UX/UI design tools.
  • Fluency with AI-native design and prototyping tools, including vibe coding and LLM-assisted workflows.
  • Ability to use AI tools iteratively while recognizing when human judgment is required.
  • Track record of turning ambiguous problems into coherent, testable experience frameworks.
  • Understanding of governance and access constraints in enterprise ecosystems.
  • Strong communication of design rationale to engineering and product partners.
  • English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.

Benefits and development

  • The employer offers learning opportunities, external certification opportunities, and access to LinkedIn Learning.
  • Benefits include health, retirement, paid time off, and flexible benefits.
  • The role includes opportunities to work on international projects and participate in Tech Talks and Hackathons.
