Lead Software Engineer - Salesforce CPQ

Role overview

Salesforce engineering

• Deliver complex Salesforce implementations across multiple clouds and external systems.
• Mentor developers through code reviews, coding standards, and technical execution guidance.
• Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to align engineering deliverables with business outcomes.
• Configure and troubleshoot integration tools and middleware platforms.
• Enforce data integration and governance controls.

API and CPQ delivery

• Build REST and SOAP APIs according to the API-led integration strategy.
• Configure Salesforce CPQ product bundles, pricing rules, quote calculation logic, and approval workflows.
• Support sales and finance teams during build and testing of quote generation.

Data migration

• Lead large-scale data migration workstreams into Salesforce.
• Coordinate profiling, cleansing, transformation mapping, and reconciliation.
• Create scalable and secure migration tooling and scripts for large data volumes.
• Provide technical leadership for archival implementation and master data management activities.

Release management

• Manage deployments, environment management, and go-live technical readiness for large-scale programs.
• Perform hands-on release management and support performance tuning and migration scripts.

Required experience

• Eight to twelve years of IT experience with extensive hands-on Salesforce development.
• Advanced Salesforce CPQ configuration experience with product bundles, pricing rules, and approval workflows.
• Hands-on REST API, SOAP API, and middleware integration experience.
• Background in databases, integration middleware, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams through code reviews and coding standards.

Data and delivery qualifications

• Strong enterprise data migration experience covering profiling, cleansing, transformation mapping, and reconciliation.
• Ability to build scalable and secure migration tooling and scripts.
• Understanding of data governance controls, master data management, and archival implementation.
• Experience coordinating deployments, environment management, and release management.
• Capability in performance tuning and supporting large-scale programs.
