EPAM seeks an experienced Lead Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and enterprise-grade solutions.
The lead will shape technical solutions, mentor team members, drive architectural decisions, implement best practices, and deliver secure, maintainable applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend applications using Node.js and NestJS, and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Implement JWT authentication and role-based access control; integrate external services and cloud solutions.
- Build logging, monitoring, caching, and error handling; optimize API performance and availability.
- Design SQL and NoSQL schemas and data models, and optimize queries and indexing.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS; contribute to CI/CD and deployment automation.
- Write unit tests, maintain test coverage, conduct code reviews, and apply tools such as ESLint and SonarQube.
- Mitigate XSS, CSRF/XSRF, and CORS risks and follow secure authentication practices.
- Apply SOLID principles and design patterns, mentor junior and mid-level developers, and collaborate across product, design, QA, and DevOps teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience building large-scale applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Expertise in GraphQL API design and development.
- Background in application architecture and performance optimization.
- Skills in testing and cloud deployments.
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.
