Lead / Senior Software Engineer - Zuora

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Gather customer requirements, architect solutions, and estimate effort.
• Interpret business needs with Business Operations, Finance, and Business Analysts; build workflows aligned with business objectives.
• Lead a small team, oversee deliverables, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Develop, test, and deploy system changes independently with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot production issues and configuration problems involving Zuora integrations and data flows; improve performance.
• Assist DevOps with deployment automation and production releases.
• Maintain implementation documentation, design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and train end users and stakeholders.
• Review project status with stakeholders, address issues, and propose solutions.

Requirements

• 5–15 years of IT experience deploying, sustaining, and enhancing billing platforms.
• Strong Zuora knowledge, including Zuora Admin, objects, APIs, workflows, Product Catalog, and Charge Models.
• Experience with invoice templates, payments, bill runs, billing document posting, and subscription lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with Zuora Order line items, reconciliations, month-end troubleshooting, and bulk object operations.
• Experience integrating Zuora with e-commerce, payment gateways, analytics, tax systems, and Salesforce.
• Skilled with developer tools and Postman; knowledgeable about roles, permissions, and billing configurations.
• Able to respond to analysis requests from business, finance, development, and QA teams.
