Lead / Senior Software Engineer - Zuora

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Gather customer requirements, develop solutions, and estimate effort.
• Interpret business needs with Business Operations, Finance, and Business Analysts; create workflows aligned with business objectives.
• Lead a small team, oversee deliverables, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Develop, test, and deploy systems independently; diagnose production, configuration, integration, and data-flow issues.
• Improve system performance and assist DevOps with automated Zuora deployments and production changes.
• Document implementations, designs, test plans, and user guides; conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Train users and stakeholders on Zuora features and best practices; attend project status and issue-resolution meetings.

Requirements

• 5–15 years of IT experience and proven billing-platform implementation, maintenance, and enhancement experience.
• Strong Zuora knowledge, including Admin, objects, APIs, configuration, roles, permissions, and billing templates.
• Experience with Invoice templates, Payments, bill runs, billing document posting, Invoice, CM, and HTML templates.
• Knowledge of Product Catalog, Charge Models, and subscription creation, updates, renewals, and cancellations.
• Hands-on Zuora Order line-item and Invoice order line-item experience.
• Ability to reconcile, troubleshoot month-end processes, and perform bulk object operations.
• Comfort with developer tools and Postman; experience integrating ecommerce, payment, analytics, and tax systems.
• Knowledge of Zuora Workflow, automated workflows, and relevant product updates and practices.
