Lead / Senior Software Engineer - Zuora

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to gather requirements, develop solutions, and estimate effort.
• Clarify business needs with Business Operations, Finance, and Business Analysts.
• Create and improve workflows aligned with business objectives.
• Lead a small team, oversee deliverables, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Develop, test, and deploy systems independently with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose production issues involving Zuora integrations and data flows.
• Improve system performance and assist DevOps with deployment automation and production changes.
• Maintain implementation, design, test-plan, and user-guide documentation.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and train users and stakeholders.
• Attend stakeholder meetings to review status, challenges, and resolutions.

Requirements

• 5–15 years of IT experience implementing, sustaining, and enhancing billing platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Zuora Admin, objects, and APIs.
• Expertise in invoice templates, payments, bill runs, billing document posting, invoice, credit memo, and HTML templates.
• Knowledge of Product Catalog, Charge Models, and subscription creation, updates, renewals, and cancellations.
• Hands-on experience with Zuora Order line items and invoice order line items.
• Ability to reconcile and troubleshoot month-end close and perform bulk object operations.
• Proficiency with developer tools and Postman.
• Experience integrating ecommerce, payment gateway, analytics, and tax systems, including Salesforce and Zuora APIs.
• Experience with Zuora Workflow automation and understanding roles, permissions, and billing templates.
• Able to lead a small team and mentor junior developers.
