Lead Python Automation Test Engineer with AI

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Python automation frameworks; build solutions using PyTest, Behave, Robot Framework, Selenium, and Playwright.
• Lead framework architecture, parallel execution, and reusable libraries, utilities, and extensions.
• Design REST and SOAP API automation and validate XML and JSON payloads using serialization and deserialization.
• Review code, enforce standards, and integrate test suites with Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD.
• Define test strategies, roadmaps, and quality metrics; mentor colleagues and lead technical discussions.

Requirements

• Requires 9 to 12 years of test automation engineering experience and strong Python expertise.
• Requires expertise in PyTest, Behave, Robot Framework, Selenium, and Playwright; knowledge of OOP and advanced Python concepts.
• Requires REST and SOAP API automation experience, including OAuth, Bearer Token, and NTLM authentication.
• Requires familiarity with Singleton, Factory, and Page Object Model patterns; CI/CD integration experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Requires understanding of Test Pyramid, shift-left testing, and quality metrics; hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor.
• Requires understanding of prompt engineering, context windows, and tokenization; experience using embeddings for semantic search and designing AI-driven test automation.
• Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
