Lead Java Automation Test Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable Java test automation frameworks.
• Build robust automation solutions using Selenium.
• Lead framework architecture decisions for scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
• Implement parallel execution and optimize execution times across browsers and platforms.
• Develop reusable libraries, utilities, and framework extensions.
• Design and implement API automation for REST and SOAP services.
• Validate XML and JSON payloads through serialization and deserialization; handle session management and API integration testing.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce clean coding standards.
• Establish coding standards, branching strategies, and version-control practices.
• Integrate automation suites with Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Publish automation reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Nine to fourteen years of experience in IT.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, including classes and objects, inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, and abstraction.
• Expertise in API authentication and authorization, including Basic Authentication, Bearer Tokens, OAuth, and NTLM.
• Proficiency in Singleton, Factory, Decorator, Page Object Model, and Page Factory design patterns.
• Familiarity with static code analysis and quality-gate configuration.
• Background generating and using embeddings for semantic search applications; understanding of similarity search and retrieval mechanisms.

Nice to have

• Understanding of attention mechanisms and transformer-based model architectures is a nice-to-have.
