Document Control and Order Duties
- Enter and maintain sales orders using information supplied by engineering leaders and internal teams.
- Ensure invoicing, shipping instructions, pricing, commission allocations, quantities, models, and accessories are accurate.
- Develop, complete, and maintain an accurate Document Control Index from customer and project information.
- Work with project managers and modify standard documents to accommodate customer specifications.
- Assign and track document due dates while organizing project documentation requirements.
- Process customer comments and revise documents under engineering leadership direction.
- Support the engineering team with CRS preparation as required.
Final Data Submittal
- Compile and revise technical data for customer installation and operation of equipment.
- Include as-built parts lists, instruction manuals, test results, certifications, spare parts lists, and sub-vendor accessory data.
- Compile test and inspection data for contractually required customer inspection visits.
- Secure inspection certificates for inclusion in final data submissions.
- Load complete final data packages into the company data system for future retrieval.
Competencies and Tools
- Comfort with technical communication and strong general communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ownership of timely and accurate work, including work with short deadlines.
- Required computer skills include Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Preferred tools include SharePoint, AutoCAD, Solid Edge 2D, Siemens Teamcenter, and ERP systems such as JD Edwards or SAP.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science or diploma in mechanical engineering.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in a similar industry.
