With limited supervision, deliver engineering and application work for airport control, monitoring, and air-traffic systems in a customer-facing environment.
Maintain operational availability and security of airport technology applications and data.
Responsibilities
- Capture requirements and design, estimate, configure, test, commission, and support airport systems and software.
- Support AGLCMS and Level 4 A-SMGCS operations; collaborate with R&D, engineering, sales, clients, and standards bodies.
- Prepare method statements, operating procedures, quality plans, checklists, acceptance plans, and commissioning documents.
- Install, test, commission, and maintain air-traffic control systems; validate and accept systems at airport premises.
- Lead quality assurance, inspections, acceptance testing, documentation, handover, and airport personnel training.
- Manage configuration systems and contribute to productivity, cycle-time, and resource-utilization targets.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent in computer science, industrial engineering, instrumentation, computer engineering, electronics, or related field.
- Solid experience installing, testing, and commissioning AGLCMS systems and working in the airport or air-side solutions market.
- Strong AGL and CMS knowledge; TCP/IP topology and services experience, including HTTP, FTP, SSH, and SMTP.
- Requirements or systems engineering experience; customer-facing experience; knowledge of airport safety regulations.
- Experience preparing technical and material submittals, method statements, checklists, and testing and commissioning plans.
- Strong teamwork, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Valued experience
- Electrical power equipment commissioning and testing, power electronics and transformation, control boards, electrical safety, circuit load calculation, and power supply and distribution are valued.
- Cross-layer fault diagnosis and accurate technical reporting with test sheets and protocols are valued.
