Lead Automation Test Engineer - Java with Playwright

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable Java test automation frameworks and build Selenium automation solutions.
• Lead architecture decisions and implement parallel execution for scalable, maintainable, reusable automation across browsers and platforms.
• Develop reusable libraries, utilities, and framework extensions.
• Design API automation for REST and SOAP services; validate XML and JSON payloads through serialization and deserialization.
• Handle session management and API integration testing.
• Conduct code reviews and govern coding standards, branching strategies, and version-control practices.
• Integrate suites with Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Configure static analysis and quality gates, and publish reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

Requirements

• 9 to 14 years of IT experience.
• Expertise in Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Proficiency in Selenium, API test automation, and CI/CD integration.
• Knowledge of Basic Authentication, Bearer Tokens, OAuth, NTLM, and other authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Singleton, Factory, Decorator, Page Object Model, and Page Factory design patterns.
• Competency with Jenkins and GitHub Actions for pipeline integration.
• Background generating and using embeddings for semantic search, and understanding of similarity search and retrieval.

Nice to have

• Understanding of transformer architecture, attention mechanisms, and transformer-based model architectures is a plus.
