Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, evaluate, assign, and monitor laundry staff and their daily work.
- Organize laundry loads and ensure washing, drying, pressing, folding, and inspection meet hotel quality and fabric-care standards.
- Manage inventory and replenish linens, guest items, and supplies with relevant departments.
- Resolve stained or damaged item issues and follow appropriate fabric treatment protocols.
- Maintain laundry equipment and coordinate servicing and repairs.
- Handle guest requests and complaints, coordinating urgent or special items with front office and housekeeping.
- Enforce hygiene, sanitation, chemical-handling, and safety rules; maintain operational records and prepare reports.
- Assist with budget management and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements and desired experience
- Proven luxury hotel experience as a laundry supervisor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of laundry equipment, fabrics, and stain removal techniques.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards and safe cleaning chemical handling.
- Excellent organization and time management, strong attention to detail and quality, and good communication and teamwork.
