The Laundry Attendant – Valet collects, checks, records, and delivers guest laundry and dry-cleaning items according to hotel standards.
The role ensures garments are handled carefully, processed accurately, and returned within the required timeframe while providing guest service.
Key responsibilities
- Collect requested guest laundry and dry-cleaning from guest rooms.
- Check garments for stains, damage, and discrepancies before processing.
- Verify laundry lists and accurately record items.
- Deliver clean and pressed garments to guest rooms promptly.
- Coordinate with the Laundry Department for timely processing and delivery.
- Care for guest garments and keep belongings confidential.
- Respond politely to guest inquiries and communicate delays or special requests.
- Keep the valet area clean and organized.
- Follow hotel policies, hygiene standards, and health and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel laundry department or similar experience is an advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle guest garments carefully and professionally.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
Team and work environment
- The position is with Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island, a resort on Saadiyat Island.
- The role involves collecting and delivering laundry in guest rooms and coordinating with the hotel Laundry Department.
