Responsibilities

• Set engineering direction and develop strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee daily operations, building-code compliance, safety, maintenance, repairs, and optimization of hotel systems and guest areas.
• Optimize preventive maintenance to maximize asset life and minimize downtime.
• Manage budgets, expenses, forecasts, inventory, assets, equipment, and security protocols.
• Develop training, mentor engineering staff, and lead departmental meetings.
• Ensure fire, life-safety, emergency, and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze performance metrics, implement improvements, and collaborate across departments.
• Make strategic decisions on capital investment, system upgrades, and technical implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in engineering operations, maintenance management, or similar senior technical work.
• Proven engineering team leadership and large-scale technical operations experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; excellent written and spoken English.
• Expertise in planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cost optimization, safety, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, analytical problem-solving, and business acumen.
• Project management experience overseeing capital projects and technical implementations.
• Technical expertise in building systems, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, or a related discipline.
