Oversee daily kitchen operations for a catering services company, including food production, staff, quality and hygiene, costs, and timely meal preparation and delivery for orders and events.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily food preparation, cooking, portioning, and meal production.
- Plan production schedules around catering orders, client requirements, and event deadlines.
- Supervise, train, and manage chefs, cooks, and kitchen helpers.
- Maintain food quality, taste, presentation, portion control, and approved menus.
- Monitor inventory and stock levels; coordinate purchasing with procurement.
- Control food costs, minimize waste, and use ingredients and kitchen resources efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Maintain storage, temperature control, labeling, and stock rotation procedures.
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, procurement, and service teams for timely dispatch and delivery.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and maintain a clean, safe, organized workplace.
- Prepare production reports, inventory records, and other kitchen documentation.
- Maintain efficient operations during peak periods and large-scale catering events.
Requirements and qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or Senior Chef in a catering company, central kitchen, hotel, or high-volume food production facility.
- Strong knowledge of large-scale food production and catering operations.
- Experience in staff supervision, kitchen scheduling, and production planning.
- Good understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and waste reduction.
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to manage multiple orders.
Pay
- AED 3,500–4,500 per month; the structured salary field also states AED 3,500 per month.
