Responsibilities
- Assist with supervision and coordination of electrical installations at construction sites; review drawings, layouts, specifications, and BOQs.
- Monitor compliance with approved drawings and specifications; coordinate with civil, mechanical, MEP, and other teams to resolve site issues.
- Support installation of cables, conduits, wiring, distribution boards, lighting fixtures, and power systems.
- Support installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning; conduct site inspections and report progress, technical issues, and non-compliance.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, technicians, and site supervisors; prepare material requisitions, technical submittals, method statements, and inspection requests.
- Monitor material availability; maintain progress and inspection records; identify defects and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure electrical work follows HSE requirements; participate in site meetings and support snagging, rectification, and handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering within construction or MEP projects.
- UAE construction experience is described as preferred and also as mandatory in conflicting wording.
- Basic knowledge of electrical installation, power distribution, lighting, cabling, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical specifications; familiarity with site inspections, material submittals, and testing and commissioning.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office; coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work at construction sites and coordinate with multiple project teams; UAE driving license is an advantage.
