Job purpose

Depot operations

• Assess daily, weekly, and monthly operational, safety, and financial performance reports.
• Monitor driver distribution and schedule adherence; assign drivers to buses and routes under approved parameters.
• Coordinate maintenance, cleanliness, fueling, and preparation so buses are ready for daily service.
• Coordinate responses to breakdowns, fires, accidents, and driver illness, including alternative arrangements.
• Monitor bus departures and returns and arrange emergency replacement vehicles to avoid service interruptions.
• Coordinate safe and efficient bus asset use with the Maintenance and Services Department.
• Liaise with OCC and controllers on real-time issues to minimize passenger disruption.
• Ensure drivers are available and allocate buses for scheduled services, events, festivals, and special requirements.
• Coordinate pricing and deliver buses according to approved schedules.

Improvement and reporting

• Manage installation and removal of advertising stickers in accordance with asset management policies.
• Monitor bus and driver performance using operational systems, analyze trends, and support corrective action planning.
• Contribute to developing and improving SOPs and operational procedures.
• Review and contribute to operational, safety, and financial reporting for process improvement.
• Track fuel consumption across routes, depots, buses, and drivers and support efficiency and target compliance.
• Monitor daily accident checks and driver physical fitness checks conducted in the depot.
• Provide operational data and documentation to investigation officers.

Work conditions

• Work is based in a bus depot.

Qualifications

• High school education.
• No prior experience is required for candidates with high school education.
