Job purpose

Strategy and governance

• Monitor enterprise risk management performance and update departmental risk plans to meet risk-index targets and respond to operational or environmental changes.
• Develop and implement risk management methodologies informed by market research and international best practices.
• Review and develop strategies using benchmarking and case studies.
• Use digitization and artificial intelligence concepts to advance public bus operations strategy.
• Ensure departmental activities comply with operational laws, regulations, and institutional standards.
• Monitor environmental sustainability initiatives and alignment with green economy strategies and RTA standards.

Operations, audits, and compliance

• Coordinate internal and external audits, oversee audit reporting, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure implementation of the safety and environmental management system (RSEMS) and compliance with safety and sustainability goals.
• Conduct electronic audits based on asset management and ISO standards to improve compliance and operational efficiency.
• Follow up on recommendations from the Public Transport Safety Committee and public health authorities.
• Manage large databases and analyze data to generate insights for operational decisions.
• Analyze bus service delivery processes and develop efficiency and performance improvements with Customer Happiness and central departments.
• Follow up on corrective actions, improvement initiatives, and efficiency enhancements across bus service operations.
• Maintain compliance with international standards and service excellence guidelines in bus operations.
• Conduct routine field visits to buses and facilities to verify service quality compliance.

Service improvement

• Measure bus service efficiency and effectiveness and submit periodic performance reports for strategic decisions.
• Review station employee training needs and deliver awareness and development workshops on bus service excellence standards.
• Follow up on SLA compliance and timely closure of bus user complaints with relevant departments.
• Propose solutions, policies, and procedures to enhance operational excellence.

Working conditions

• The role includes occasional on-site field visits to buses, facilities, and operational areas for compliance and service quality verification.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Risk Management.
• At least 9 years of experience with a master’s degree, or at least 11 years with a bachelor’s degree.
