Execute advanced costing activities, including cost accounting system operations, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
Provide costing reports and advisory input to support financial decisions, compliance, cost control, and operational efficiency across RTA services.
Strategy and controls
- Support cost accounting frameworks and cost recovery models aligned with approved financial objectives.
- Provide inputs to breakeven analysis and expenditure rationalization aligned with departmental cost plans.
- Ensure compliance with cost accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Costing and reporting
- Operate and maintain the cost accounting system and provide timely, accurate reporting for assigned services and activities.
- Prepare variance analyses, breakeven reports, costing summaries, and standard-cost and pricing analyses.
- Coordinate with finance and operational teams to validate cost elements, service pricing, and contractual obligations.
- Develop automation-enabled tools and dashboards for costing, variance monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Track cost KPIs and relate variance analysis to service efficiency and cost recovery targets.
Process improvement and knowledge sharing
- Recommend improvements to costing practices and contribute to automation initiatives for cost reporting and analytics.
- Conduct workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to build cost awareness and financial capability.
- Support training and dissemination of costing policies and practices within business units.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting or Economics.
- At least 6 years of experience with a master’s degree, or at least 8 years with a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in costing and estimation is required.
- CPA or CMA certification is listed as an example certification.
