Role purpose

Provides technical assistance and support to end users within designated Fakeeh Care entities.

The description includes IT Specialist and Senior IT Specialist experience bands.

Support responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-level support for hardware, software, and network issues through phone, email, ticketing, or in-person channels.
  • Troubleshoot computers, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals; install, configure, and maintain equipment, software, and updates.
  • Track IT assets and inventory, assist with equipment setup, and handle onboarding and offboarding hardware and account setup.
  • Document issues and solutions, maintain technical documentation, and escalate complex issues to senior staff or specialist teams.
  • Monitor system and network performance and availability.
  • Plan, test, and implement information-system upgrades; integrate and deploy applications across the business.
  • Coordinate system administrators and other entities to ensure operational continuity.
  • Develop backup and disaster recovery procedures and security protections; install, configure, and maintain servers and data storage.
  • Develop tools, procedures, and training for Operations, Client Support, and Systems Development staff; mentor colleagues and educate users.
  • Stay current with system-administration technologies and practices; perform other duties within the scope of the job.

Experience and education

  • IT Specialist: 0–2 years of IT support or application support experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Senior IT Specialist: minimum 3 years of IT support or application support experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written English; Arabic is preferred.

Required skills

  • Strong system-administration knowledge for complex operating systems.
  • Proficiency designing, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical systems.
  • Problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
  • Expertise monitoring system performance and availability.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills for technical records.
  • Ability to develop and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Preferred certifications

  • Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, HDI-SCA, CHAMP, CITAM, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, PMP, and ITIL.
