Role purpose
Deliver optical services and support sales performance through accurate dispensing, customer service, insurance handling, and error-free product delivery.
Customer service and sales
- Identify customer needs and recommend frames, lenses, contact lenses, and sunglasses.
- Drive conversion, upselling, cross-selling, and promotions; achieve individual targets and support store performance.
- Deliver a professional customer journey, handle inquiries and complaints, and build customer loyalty.
- Work with colleagues to achieve store targets and share product knowledge.
Dispensing and transactions
- Read prescriptions, fit contact lenses to standards, and ensure correct dispensing and product selection.
- Process POS transactions and insurance approvals and invoicing through Wassel or NPHIES.
- Verify prescriptions, lens specifications, and frame alignment; check products for defects and order accuracy.
- Resolve issues before handover and deliver error-free orders.
Stock and compliance
- Maintain stock accuracy and product safety; report shortages, damages, and discrepancies.
- Follow company policies and procedures; handle customers and insurance ethically and maintain brand standards.
Qualifications and experience
- 2–5 years of optical retail experience.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in optics or a related field.
- SCFHS license or certification.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic.
Skills
- Strong sales and customer service skills and understanding of insurance and POS systems.
- Ability to read prescriptions and dispense accurately; strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
- Teamwork, accountability, positive attitude, and basic inventory and stock-control knowledge.
