Key responsibilities
- Review purchase invoices against approved LPOs, GRNs, contracts, timesheets, and supporting documents.
- Verify supplier invoices, approvals, and receipt of goods or services before payment processing.
- Audit subcontractor payment certificates and invoices against approved LOAs, subcontract agreements, and contractual terms.
- Verify advance payment securities, including guarantee cheques and bank guarantees.
- Review petty cash, PEMO card transactions, and cheque payments for documentation and approval compliance.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of VAT input and output transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Identify duplicate payments, unsupported expenses, control weaknesses, policy deviations, and potential fraud indicators.
- Participate in management reviews to assess controls and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in recruitment interviews for finance and stores personnel, assessing technical competence and suitability.
Candidate requirements
- Relevant auditing experience is required; construction or contracting industry experience is preferred.
- Hands-on ERP systems experience is required; E-Promise ERP experience is highly preferred.
- UAE work experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of invoice verification, subcontractor payments, internal controls, and VAT compliance is required.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and professional integrity are required.
