Job Overview

Experience and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least seven years of experience, including at least three years in the UAE, are required.
• Engineering consultancy and site supervision experience is mandatory.
• Experience with roads and utility networks for residential or community infrastructure projects is required.
• Knowledge of Dubai authority standards, approvals, NOCs, and inspection requirements is required.

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to interpret civil and infrastructure drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and authority requirements.
• Technical knowledge of roadworks, wet and dry utilities, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to review technical submittals, method statements, inspection and test plans, and requests for information.
• Effective site coordination, problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple work fronts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise earthworks, roads, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, potable water, irrigation, utility ducts, and related civil works.
• Review drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection and test plans, technical queries, and requests for information.
• Review contractor inspection and material inspection requests and verify approved materials and procedures.
• Check setting-out, levels, alignments, trenching, pipe laying, chambers, backfilling, compaction, road layers, kerbs, and asphalt works.
• Witness compaction, pressure, leakage, CCTV, flushing, disinfection, and asphalt tests.
• Monitor progress, resources, sequencing, interfaces, delays, constraints, and completion risks.
• Identify defects and non-conformities, issue field observations, and verify corrective action closure.
• Coordinate contractors, inspectors, surveyors, disciplines, authorities, and utility providers.
• Monitor quality, health and safety, and environmental compliance.
• Prepare reports and maintain inspection, testing, progress, and photographic records.
• Review as-built drawings and close-out documents and support snagging and handover.
