Electrical Inspector position in Dubai, UAE, within an engineering consultancy.
The role oversees installation and quality of electrical and ELV systems on site and checks compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
Immediate availability is requested.
Responsibilities
- Monitor power, lighting, structured cabling, and ELV installations, including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, PA, and BMS, for compliance with drawings and standards.
- Inspect electrical and ELV materials through Material Inspection Requests and verify approved specifications.
- Inspect contractor work for quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure HSE compliance and safe work practices during installations.
- Prepare progress reports for electrical, structured cabling, and ELV systems.
- Issue Field Observation Reports for defective work and escalate issues to the Engineer or Senior Engineer.
- Coordinate with inspectors and project engineers; provide technical support for project execution.
- Assist the Electrical Engineer with records for submittals, inspections, and on-site and off-site testing.
Experience and skills
- At least 7 years of relevant Electrical Inspector experience, including at least 3 years in the UAE.
- Experience on residential projects, complex villas, high- or mid-rise towers, building construction, or engineering consultancy projects.
- Familiarity with local authority standards and inspection procedures.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Strong inspection, coordination, and reporting skills; attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities.

- Full-time position with in-person work in Dubai, UAE.
