Housekeeping duties
- Operate appropriate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
- Wash, mop, and polish floors in assigned restaurant areas.
- Dust and wipe counters, shelves, and tables as needed.
- Inspect and unclog sink drains and remove garbage efficiently.
- Report shortages of equipment and supplies to management and ensure requisitions are made.
- Wash, mop, scrub, and disinfect floors in the kitchen, shisha bar, bar, and restroom; keep restrooms clean and dispose of garbage.
- Clean and dust furniture, windows, counters, glass panels, floors, walls, wood panels, marble, and fixtures.
- Monitor and maintain stocks of cleaning supplies and toiletries.
- Report incidents and accidents to management.
- Report maintenance needs, including light bulb replacements, leaks, and washbasin issues, to the relevant area management.
- Ensure workplace safety and comply with instructions for using and storing materials and equipment.
- Hand any property found in the restaurant to management; carry out other appropriate duties as required.
Standards and procedures
- Follow the restaurant’s policies and standard operating procedures.
- Comply with established safety rules and company sanitation standards.
- Follow instructions for the safe use and storage of materials and equipment needed for assigned tasks.
