Bar and restaurant operations
- Manage procurement of bar supplies on time and within budget.
- Assist with restaurant operations and administrative tasks.
- Manage staff schedules, supervise the bar team, and ensure sales targets are met.
- Create new and unique menu items.
- Mix, garnish, present, and serve drinks according to standard specifications.
- Create and ensure compliance with opening and closing checklists.
Guest service and team support
- Make recommendations and answer related inquiries.
- Respond politely and efficiently to guest orders, questions, requests, concerns, and complaints.
- Maintain complete knowledge of foods, beverages, outlets, services, and operating hours.
- Train new and existing staff.
- Record drink orders accurately in the register system.
- Serve snacks to guests seated at the bar.
- Follow guest requests and order preferences.
Inventory and workplace upkeep
- Prepare fruits for drink garnishes and arrange glasses and bottles in functional displays.
- Keep glasses, bar equipment, and work areas clean.
- Monitor inventory and alert procurement about products nearing depletion or expiry.
- Order and restock bar inventory; check quality and identify damaged goods.
- Label and organize ingredients for easy access.
- Keep utensils and equipment functional and well maintained.
Payments and administration
- Receive and process guest payments and keep transaction records.
- Cash out servers during or at the end of shifts.
- Assist the Human Resource Department with administrative duties and act as an intermediary with the restaurant.
Standards and training
- Observe relevant health and safety standards and comply with safety procedures.
- Attend basic food hygiene and work safety training programs.
