Role purpose
Manage guest arrivals and departures promptly and graciously in line with restaurant service standards.
Guest service
- Welcome guests, escort them to reserved or designated tables, present menus, and introduce them to servers.
- Estimate waiting times and communicate with team members using pagers.
- Describe and recommend menu items; provide information about restaurant facilities, services, discounts, and promotions.
- Attend to guest queries and complaints courteously and take corrective action when required.
- Maintain guest information and preferences to support personalized service.
Reservations and coordination
- Keep reservation records and table counts accurate, reinstate available tables, and monitor reservations and table allocations.
- Manage waiting lists, discount redemptions, and upcoming meal reservations.
- Use professional phone etiquette and accurately record and communicate guest requests.
- Communicate relevant floor and guest information to the supervisor and restaurant manager.
Standards
- Follow policies and health and safety practices; carry out additional tasks assigned by management.
Job specifications
- At least two years of experience in the same role in hospitality or the food and beverage field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work under high-volume pressure.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver superior customer satisfaction.
- Pleasant and professional personality.
Pay
- AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
