Role purpose
Control guest arrivals and departures promptly and graciously, in line with restaurant service standards.
Guest reception and service
- Welcome guests warmly, escort them to designated or reserved tables, present menus and introduce them to servers.
- Estimate waiting times and use pagers to communicate with team members.
- Share floor or guest requirements with the supervisor and restaurant manager to support smooth operations.
- Know menu items well enough to describe and recommend products.
- Provide professional guest relations, answer queries and handle complaints promptly and satisfactorily.
- Explain restaurant services and facilities, including dining areas, restrooms, discounts and promotions.
Reservations and guest information
- Maintain guest details, birthdays, special occasions and regular guests' preferences to support personalized service.
- Keep the reservation system updated with accurate table counts and reinstate available tables promptly.
- Monitor reservations, table allocations, waiting lists and discount redemptions; check the reservation book for upcoming meals.
- Use professional phone etiquette and accurately record and communicate guest requests.
Standards and additional duties
- Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures and follow health and safety practices.
- Carry out additional tasks as instructed by management.
Job specification
- At least 2 years of experience in the same role in hospitality or the food and beverage field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexible and able to handle high-volume pressure.
- Able to anticipate guest needs and deliver superior customer satisfaction.
- Pleasant and professional personality.
Pay
- Advertised pay is AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
