Role purpose
Manage guest inflow and outflow at the restaurant promptly and graciously, in line with service standards.
Guest welcome and service
- Welcome guests warmly, escort them to reserved or designated tables, present menus, and introduce them to servers.
- Estimate wait times, use pagers to communicate with colleagues, and relay floor or guest needs to supervisors and managers.
- Know menu items well enough to describe and recommend products; explain restaurant facilities, dining areas, discounts, and promotions.
- Handle guest queries and complaints promptly, take corrective action when needed, and personalize service using guest preferences and special occasions.
Reservations and administration
- Maintain accurate guest information, reservation-system details, table counts, and availability.
- Monitor reservations, table allocations, waiting lists, discount redemptions, and upcoming meal reservations.
- Use professional phone etiquette and clearly record and communicate guest details and requests.
Standards and other duties
- Follow restaurant policies, procedures, and health and safety practices.
- Carry out additional tasks as instructed by management.
Job specification
- At least 2 years of experience in the same role in hospitality or food and beverage.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexible and able to handle high-volume pressure.
- Able to anticipate guest needs and deliver superior customer satisfaction.
- Pleasant and professional personality.
Pay
- Pay is AED 5,000–6,000 per month.
