Role purpose
Control the inflow and outflow of restaurant guests promptly and graciously, in line with restaurant service standards.
Guest service duties
- Welcome guests, escort them to designated or reserved tables, present menus, and introduce them to servers.
- Estimate wait times and use pagers to communicate with team members.
- Share floor and guest needs with the supervisor and restaurant manager.
- Know menu items and describe or recommend them to guests.
- Provide professional guest relations, answer queries, and handle complaints promptly, taking corrective action when required.
- Explain restaurant services, facilities, dining areas, and current discounts or promotions.
- Maintain guest information such as birthdays, special occasions, and regular guests' preferences to personalize service.
Reservations and procedures
- Keep the reservation system and table counts accurate and update available tables promptly.
- Monitor reservations, table allocations, waiting lists, discount redemptions, and upcoming meal reservations.
- Use professional phone etiquette and clearly register and communicate guest details and requests.
- Follow policies, procedures, and health and safety practices.
- Carry out additional tasks as instructed by management.
Job specification
- At least two years of experience in the same role in hospitality or food and beverage.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work under high-volume pressure.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver superior customer satisfaction.
- Pleasant and professional personality.
Pay
- AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
