Role Overview

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain Azure applications using Python, React, JavaScript or TypeScript, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Modify existing applications and contribute through coding and pull request reviews.
• Integrate LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, and Azure OpenAI capabilities.
• Maintain AI orchestration and inference pipelines for performance, cost efficiency, observability, and responsible usage.
• Apply testing, monitoring, CI/CD, observability, and secure SDLC practices.
• Evaluate AI tools and use AI-assisted development throughout delivery.
• Protect data privacy, security, governance, and compliance.
• Prioritize work independently and collaborate on architecture, troubleshooting, and technical direction.
• Mentor engineers on software engineering, cloud-native architecture, and AI integration patterns.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software development experience using Python and building cloud-native applications in Azure; AWS experience is also considered.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with React and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and application architecture.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring engineers.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and modern software development practices.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities including Azure OpenAI, LLMs, RAG, or vector databases.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging platforms, and application observability using OpenTelemetry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or willingness to learn it.

Technology Stack

• Python, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Services.
• React, JavaScript or TypeScript, REST APIs, and relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
• NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Cosmos DB, plus LLMs, RAG, and AI APIs.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows, Git, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, npm, and CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Range

• Annual pay range is $129,300 to $172,300.
• The hiring range is an estimate of base pay and may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location.
