The Food & Beverage Associate - In-Room Dining provides prompt, professional, personalized food and beverage service to hotel guests in their rooms.
The role covers accurate order taking, timely delivery, presentation, billing, and guest experience.
Guest orders and service
- Answer in-room dining calls promptly and take orders accurately.
- Provide information about menus, ingredients, promotions, and delivery estimates.
- Enter orders in the hotel ordering system and coordinate preparation with the kitchen and other departments.
- Set up and deliver orders to presentation standards; verify accuracy, quality, temperature, and completeness.
- Present orders professionally and explain items to guests when required.
Operations and guest care
- Clear trays, trolleys, and used equipment from rooms and corridors.
- Process guest bills, payments, and charges according to hotel procedures.
- Maintain dining-area and equipment cleanliness; comply with food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards.
- Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints; record and communicate special requests, VIP amenities, and preferences.
- Assist with daily opening, closing, and stock-taking.
Experience and skills
- Previous in-room dining, room service, or food-and-beverage experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Excellent communication and telephone etiquette; professional appearance and a guest-focused attitude.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with good organizational and order-taking skills.
- Reliable, courteous, and willing to learn.
Schedule
- Must be flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Work setting
- Hotel Local Dubai, a hotel in Jumeirah Village Triangle, Dubai; the role involves serving guests in their rooms.
