Guest and food service
- Welcome guests, escort them to tables, and present menus; assist with orders, food and beverage service, and guest requests.
- Set up tables and mise en place, clear and reset tables, and keep restaurant, bar, service stations, and assigned areas clean and organized.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety standards; learn hotel service procedures and brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service colleagues; assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown.
- Respond professionally to guest inquiries and concerns, referring complaints to a supervisor when needed.
Training and team support
- Attend departmental briefings, training sessions, and other learning activities.
- Perform other reasonable supervisor-assigned duties supporting daily food and beverage operations.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related program.
- Strong interest in food and beverage operations and hospitality; good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively with a team.
- Professional appearance and good personal hygiene; flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Previous hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
