F&B Operations Manager

Oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintains standards, meets or exceeds financial goals, applies relevant food and beverage laws and regulations, and develops the department business plan.
Education and experience
- High school diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area; or a 2-year degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Related two-year degree fields include Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, and Business Administration.
Operations, budgets, and team leadership
- Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans; maintain cost management for kitchen and restaurant operations.
- Manage food and beverage departments, day-to-day operations, employee supervision, and productivity; step into employee duties when needed.
- Set goals, expectations, priorities, and departmental direction; encourage teamwork, motivation, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
- Coach, counsel, mentor, and train employees; conduct performance reviews and identify development needs.
- Communicate through logs and department/property meetings and comply with corporate accounting procedures.
Guest service
- Respond proactively to guest concerns and own complaints or problems through resolution or handoff to the appropriate person.
- Set service expectations, promote alignment with brand service culture, and coach employees to improve guest satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor daily quality and service standards and verify banquet functions meet or exceed guest expectations.
Work location and schedule
- The position is located at the Sheraton property on Al Corniche Street in Doha, Qatar.
