Position summary
Serve as a resource for recreation activities at the property and help create a fun, relaxing atmosphere for guests.
Provide information about pools, beach, entertainment and game areas, fitness facilities, and children's activities.
Guest activities and facility operations
- Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities.
- Promote facility rules and regulations for guest and member safety.
- Observe activities and respond according to local procedures during emergencies or unsafe participation.
- Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
- Provide cashier services and process payments for rentals, activities, facility rentals, and retail sales.
- Assist with private functions, group activities, and events.
- Clean and maintain recreation facilities, equipment, and supplies.
Service, safety, and teamwork
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow company policies, protect company assets, maintain confidentiality, and meet quality standards.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate professionally.
- Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Use computers and point-of-sale systems for work-related information and transactions.
Required qualifications
- CPR certification is required.
- First Aid certification is required.
- Recreation equipment qualification or experience is required.
- Complete any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
Schedule and position
- Schedule is full-time.
- Position type is non-management.

- The role is based at the Sheraton property in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
