The commissioning engineer manages project testing and commissioning activities, coordinating teams, resources, customers, OEMs, and subcontractors.
Key responsibilities
- Manage project planning, execution, resource allocation, troubleshooting, and customer interaction.
- Prepare plans for cold commissioning start-up, hot commissioning, and commissioning close-out.
- Coordinate commissioning with OEMs and subcontractors.
- Prepare testing method statements and SAT reports in line with IEC and IEEE standards.
- Resolve technical issues and attend customer or end-user meetings to clarify project scope.
- Coordinate with departments and subordinate staff to progress testing activities.
- Clarify client inquiries with manufacturer support and prepare project manpower plans.
- Coordinate client inspections.
Education and experience
- Graduate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 15 years of experience.
- Able to manage environmental, safety, health, and ethics controls during project testing and commissioning.
- Take responsibility for operations and deliverables, anticipate problems, and act proactively.
- Make timely decisions and conduct site commissioning and safety inspections.
