Costing Consultant

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Understand customers’ project costing and cost-control processes through discussions and requirements-gathering workshops.
• Document requirements for budgets, cost codes and structures, committed and actual costs, procurement commitments, forecasting, variations, cost-to-complete, financial controls, and reporting.
• Translate construction terminology and operational needs into Konstryx functional requirements.
• Support solution configuration and implementation based on agreed customer processes.
• Collaborate with technical consultants and product specialists to clarify business requirements.
• Assist with customer demonstrations, workshops, testing, and implementation.
• Support UAT so business users can validate the solution against agreed requirements.
• Train and guide customer users on implemented processes.
• Bridge construction professionals and technology teams and provide practical recommendations from industry experience.
• Support presales by understanding prospective customers’ requirements and demonstrating relevant business scenarios.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in construction, contracting, engineering, or another project-based industry.
• Strong understanding of construction cost control, project commercial processes, budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasting, and project reporting.
• Ability to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to explain construction processes to business and technical teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset; comfort with business applications, ERP systems, project-control platforms, Excel, or similar systems.
• Interest in developing a technology and functional-consulting career; previous software consulting experience is not mandatory.
• Experience with ERP, construction management, project controls, commercial management, or cost-control software is advantageous.
