Role overview

Accounting and compliance duties

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliation.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close and prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, financial performance, project profitability, revenue recognition, and cost allocations.
• Oversee receivables collections, payables, and monthly payroll in line with applicable labor and statutory requirements.
• Manage UAE VAT filings and reconciliations, corporate tax compliance, reporting, and supporting records.
• Coordinate external auditors, tax consultants, and regulators during audits and assessments.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure statutory, regulatory, accounting-standard, and company-policy compliance.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and variance analyses; support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team and collaborate with HR, PMO, Sales, Procurement, and Operations.
• Support ERP finance initiatives, system enhancements, automation, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Assist management with strategic financial decisions, risk assessments, and business growth initiatives.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, UAE VAT, corporate tax, and statutory requirements.
• Experience with financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and external audits.
• Hands-on ERP experience required; SAP S/4HANA or SAP Business One experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and payroll accounting.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting tools proficiency; strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder skills.
• Industry experience in IT services, consulting, ERP implementation, or professional services is advantageous.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and maintain integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
